Privacy Policy

For the Nylo iPhone app · Last updated 4 September 2026

Nylo reads the screenshots already on your phone and reads them on your phone. Your screenshots, the text inside them, and everything Nylo works out from them stay on your device. They are never uploaded, never stored on a server, and never sold.

The short version. One thing leaves your phone: a check on whether your subscription is active. There is no account, no profile, no advertising, and no tracking. Details below, including exactly what that check carries.

Who this is

Nylo is made by Shreyan Narula, a sole proprietorship registered in India (Udyam), based in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Contact: privacy@shreyanbuilds.com.

What stays on your phone

All of this is processed and stored on your device, in Nylo's own storage. None of it is transmitted anywhere.

If you delete Nylo, all of it goes with it. There is no copy anywhere else to ask us to delete.

The one thing that does leave

Checking your subscription

Nylo uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. It asks whether your subscription is active when the app opens, when the paywall opens, and when you buy or restore a purchase.

SentNot sent
Purchase history for this app
An anonymous identifier for your device
The country your App Store is set to
Your name, email or Apple ID
Any screenshot or text from one
Anything you typed, said or searched for

The identifier is generated for this install and is not linked to you. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple. Nylo never sees your card or your Apple ID.

What is not in the app yet, and so is not in this policy. Earlier versions of this page described a spoken morning brief, calendar access and crash reporting. As of 4 September 2026 the app does none of those: there is no text-to-speech, it never asks for your calendar, and it contains no crash reporting library. Those sections were describing work that had not shipped.

When any of them do ship, this page will say so before the version that contains them is released, and the App Store privacy label will change at the same time.

What Nylo never does

Permissions, and what each one buys you

PermissionWhat it is for
PhotosSo Nylo can read your screenshots. Everything stays on the device. You can choose limited access, and Nylo will only see what you pick.
Microphone & SpeechSo you can talk to Nylo instead of typing. Speech is recognised on the device.

Every one of these is optional. Refuse any of them and Nylo still works, with less to go on.

Children

Nylo is rated 4+ and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect anything from anyone, of any age, beyond what is described above.

Your rights

Because Nylo holds your content only on your own device, you already have complete control of it: you can delete any item inside the app, and deleting the app removes everything.

For the subscription record held by RevenueCat, or if you have any other request under GDPR, the DPDP Act or any similar law, email privacy@shreyanbuilds.com and it will be handled within 30 days.

Changes

If Nylo ever starts doing something new with your data, this page changes in the same release as the feature, not after it. The date at the top always tells you when it last changed.
